Peer Review Policy
Review model
Demo Journal uses double-blind peer review for research articles and review essays. Reviewers are not told author identities, and author files must not reveal affiliations or acknowledgements that could identify authors.
Editorial roles
A handling editor assesses scope fit, selects reviewers, and synthesizes reports. The Editor-in-Chief makes final decisions on acceptance, revision, or rejection. Section editors may manage submissions within defined subject areas.
Timelines and revisions
Initial review is typically completed within four to six weeks. Authors receiving a revision decision should respond within the deadline stated in the decision letter, with a point-by-point response to reviewers and a tracked-changes manuscript.
Appeals
Authors may appeal editorial decisions in writing within 30 days, providing substantive reasons. Appeals are considered by an editor not involved in the original decision.
Publication ethics
Demo Journal follows Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidance on authorship, plagiarism, data integrity, and corrections.
Authorship and originality
All listed authors must meet authorship criteria and approve the final manuscript. Duplicate submission, redundant publication, and plagiarism — including inappropriate text recycling — are not permitted. Similarity screening may be applied at submission.
Data and reproducibility
Authors should provide access to underlying data where ethical and legal constraints allow, with a clear data availability statement. Fabrication, falsification, and selective reporting constitute misconduct.
Corrections and retractions
Published errors are corrected through errata or corrigenda. The journal will retract articles when the integrity of the work cannot be assured. Readers and authors may report concerns to the editorial office, which investigates in line with COPE flowcharts.
Open Access Policy
Reader access
Demo Journal is a gold open-access journal. All accepted articles are published immediately upon issue release and remain freely available to readers worldwide.
